The Journey of a Pebble

Pebbles on a beach, the flow of the tide, each pebble is free, yet restricted by those around. Great waves may change the placement of the pebbles yet as a whole they leave a beach of pebbles. Over time all the pebbles are refined through interaction with their neighbours and become sand. Each pebble breaks into smaller parts, largest eventually becomes the smallest. A process of change and refinement gradually takes place. As things change so does the relevance, perspective and the importance of each individual pebble. As things shift a new scene is created, not through the actions of a pebble, through the actions of all the pebbles and the forces of nature. Each pebble though unique is destined to be the same as the others, as identity and uniqueness dissolves and disappear over time. All the sand that is left forms the basis for new rock. A journey and a cycle of life as long as time itself.
